Nepal Visa Fees
The costs payable only in USD for obtaining a visa on arrival at any border are as follows:
- A Tourist Visa with more than one entry for 15 days: USD 30.
- A Tourist Visa with double of entries for 30 days USD 50.
- A Tourist Visa with multiple entries for 90 days USD 125.

Visa Extension Fees
The fees payable in local currency (NPR) to extend the length of your stay, or to renew a visa are:
- USD 3 or equivalent in Nepali Currency, per day of the extension period.
- An extra USD 20 or equivalent in Nepali Currency, is payable on a Single-Entry Visas if a Multiple Entry required requests for an extended period.
- If visitors failed to resume their visa and must do so at an exit point, they need to pay another equivalent to USD 5, in Nepalese Currency, on the ordinary visa extension cost.
Foreigners who have overstayed 150 days without extension are required to pay an extra visa fee as per provision in F3. Plus a penalty as distinctive in Clause 10 – Clause 4 of the immigration Act 2049.
Regardless of the provision acknowledged in F1: 15 days is counted at the least extension time and the visa fee charged thus. For an extended period of greater than 15 days, the visa fees are charged as per the terms of F1.

Visitor visa of one day can obtain from the port of entry (Immigration at Tribhuvan International Airport) to Nepal as you show departure air ticket. The transit visa fee is USD 5 per person. A transit visa cannot be extended.

Restricted Area’s Trekking Cards and Permits for Conservation Areas, National Parks:
All trekkers required to carry a Trekkers’ (TIMS Card). You can collect it from the Tourist Service Center in Kathmandu: Sunday – Friday from 10:00 am to 01:00 pm and 02:00 pm – 05:00 pm. It’s free but requires two passport size photographs. (Travel agencies provide the cards for their guests.) Show it at a checkpoint during the trekking.
Trekking permits are required for all treks that go via Conservation Areas or National Parks.
Permits of the Conservation Area can be purchased at the Tourist Service Centre for NPR 2000 plus two photographs.
National Park entry tickets cost NPR 3000. Buy on the Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation Office of Sunday – Friday 09:00 am – 02:00 pm.
Permits for Restricted Area are required most for camping trek in remote areas near the Tibetan Border – for which guide is strongly endorsed. They are able only to be bought for two or more trekkers. The permits are issued by the Central Immigration office only, and it takes two working days. Your original passports (not facsimiles) and two clear recent photographs. Fees range from US$10/week to US$500/10 days plus substantial additional fees for each further day. This process will depend on your chosen agency. Places of work are open every day, but with constrained hours on Saturdays.
